I moved to Belgium almost a year ago. I arrive Belgium on 15th September. Was is an easy decision for you to relocate?No, For me it was really a tough decision. my entire family is in India and I moved here only with my wife.

 What was your biggest surprise / problem about the new country?

Yes, everything was cold. In India I was used to a fast pace life here things are slow but systematic.

How long ago did you move to Belgium?

9 months ago.

Was is an easy decision for you to relocate?
 
It wasn’t very easy since it’s a big change in life, but it wasn’t very difficult either because my colleagues’ feedback was encouraging.
 
Do you remember your first months here? What was your biggest surprise / problem about the new country?
 
I didn’t have a lot of surprises, but the only thing that bothers a bit is the weather.
 
Do you remember coming to your office for the first time? What was it like?
 
It was a normal day, I met all the team personally and was later introduced to colleagues and such.
 
How have you changed since you joined Dynamix?
 
I did and for the best – in my professional level. my communication skills have improved, especially language skills, but technical skills, too.
 
What have you learned / achieved with Dynamix and what else would you like to achieve?
 
I would like to go further and be in a win-win situation with the company, to reach the level of expertise I want.

I was very glad to have my first mission here, it was my first chance to prove my skills here, so I felt quite motivated.

Yes, you can’t talk to everyone, with some people I speak French, with the others we speak English, so it’s quite easy and helps a lot to improve my English skills.
 
Tell us about the most memorable team-building you’ve had at Dynamix.
 
To be honest, I’ve been to 2 of them, and both were very funny and memorable. I attended the team-building in Brussels city, it was very beneficial and challenging – and very funny, of course!
 
Do you think you know your colleagues well?
 
Yes, unfortunately, I haven’t yet met all my colleagues at team-buildings, but the ones I’ve met there I know quite well.

Yes, it definitely has.
 
What do you like most about your job / team?
 
Like I’ve said, there’s this international ground for projects, you have to improve yourself every day, so it’s quite challenging and interesting. I’m currently working with an amazing team, and the project is quite interesting, too.

What would you recommend to the people who would like to join Dynamix?
 
First of all, they won’t regret their decision. As for the advice, based on my short experience, be well-informed, avoid any delays, be well-informed about accommodation and public transport… And be prepared to see 4 seasons in one day in Belgium and… be ready to enjoy your life!

My name is Sahil and I’m a Senior Software Engineer. For the past several years I have worked in IT industry in different domains like Telecom, Finance, Banking etc.I enjoy playing Cricket, Gyming , Cycling and listening to music.

How long ago did you move to Belgium?

Its more than a year now.

Was is an easy decision for you to relocate?

Its never easy to leave your own country where you are born and brought up but knowing that i am getting relocated to Belgium, it was very quick for a YES.

Do you remember your first months here? What was your biggest surprise / problem about the new country?

Yes i do remember.
Being an immigrant everything was quite smooth except i faced some problems, not big though, in finding house as i came across language barrier. Most of the landlords speak in French or Dutch here, so had to go through an agency to find a house but it was smooth.
For the positive part, there is a long list but i will mention a few like enjoying new culture, new food, new friends etc.

How have you changed since you joined Dynamix?

Indeed. Now i have clear career goals and groomed myself as a better team player.

What have you learned / achieved with Dynamix and what else would you like to achieve?

Dynamix has helped me to improve my communication skills over the period of time. i have met many new challenges while working with Dynamix and that has improved my perspective of seeing things in a broader picture. All in all i like the fact is that Dynamix beleive in long term association with the employees or should i say « The Dynamix Family ». Evrybody in Dynamix work as a team/family and willing to help each other.

It was chocolate making session in Brussels, i really loved the event and even learnt how to make chocolate 🙂
